Meet Dr Hua Shen
Dr Hua Shen is a fully qualified and highly experienced practitioner who has worked in both China and the UK. She studied at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she was among the first students in China to achieve a Masters Degree linking both Chinese and Western medicine. She was also an acupuncture adviser for foreign students before working as a doctor at Shanghai Tongji University Hospital.
UK Experience & Accreditation
Since 2005 Dr Shen has worked in UK private clinics, treating a wide range of conditions. Her experience is unique in the West Midlands as she has both Chinese acupuncture education and full membership of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK’s governing body for professional acupuncturists. She complies with the BAcC Codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct and is fully insured.
A Tailored, Relaxing Experience
Dr Shen believes in treating every patient as an individual, with unique, tailored treatment because everyone reacts differently. Her acupuncture sessions are designed to be a relaxing experience – in some cases, so relaxing that patients have fallen asleep during treatment.
